Book Blogger Hop and Follow Friday! (4)

It's Friday, so it's time for Follow Friday hosted at Parajunkee's View . It's also time for another Book Blogger Hop hosted by Jenn at Crazy For Books.

This week's question for Book Blogger Hop is: When you write reviews, do you write them as you are reading or wait until you have read the entire book? My Answer: I don't write my review as I read, but I do take notes and make note of passages that I might want to refer to or that I think may be important later. I write the  review after finishing the book and usually after taking a little bit of time to think about the book.

  2. I have tried and tried to discipline myself to take notes as I read--I even have a neat little notebook, just for that purpose. Try as I might, though, and even if I do it for a couple of books in a row, eventually it falls by the wayside. I read too fast, and enjoy it too much.

    So I review from memory.

    An often spotty memory.

    Sigh.

  3. Hello! New follower hopping by! I envy those of you who can take notes. I get to distracted if I stop to do something else, so I just read and write when I'm done! :)
    Have a super weekend!

  4. I'm a stickler for taking notes. I'm a new follower hopping by from the blog hop and Follow Friday. Looking through your books, you're reading a lot of the books that I'm curious about so I'll be looking forward to reading through your reviews.

    Happy friday!

  5. hey there, stopped on the follow and am following you now. I review based on specific things I note and on overall impression. If something particular stands out I will write notes but then forget them. I might take more notes and time on something heavy duty or with a first time author. Unfortunately it is the bad stuff (word choice, grammar, spelling and research) that stands up so really good stuff tends to elicit less note. Really wonderful prose, true dialogue and character building, world consistency are the "good" things I note. Believability withing the suspension of disbelief is a balance that is hard to write. But it is hard to read fast and take notes outside of mental notes. Following:

  8. Looks like lots of people take notes while they read! I just can't get into the habit. I don't like to stop to write something down, but it's an interesting process.
